In order to be eligible for WIC, you must meet the following criteria:
Be a woman who is pregnant, breastfeeding or up to 6 months post-partum, OR have a child under the age of 5. Be a resident of Idaho.Meet income guidelines and/or qualify for food stamps or Medicaid. See the Income Eligibility Guideline.Have a nutritional need.

What can you expect at your first WIC appointment?

Nutritional education, evaluation and counseling. This includes a height, weight and an Iron measurement. Breastfeeding education and support.Help finding other medical and social service programs for your family.


Free food vouchers to purchase healthy foods for your family. These include foods high in Protein, Iron, Calcium and Vitamins A and C.Recipes, cooking and shopping tips.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.
