Here's how you can apply for WIC in Indiana:

Check Eligibility:

Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria. You must be:
    A resident of Indiana.
Pregnant, breastfeeding (up to 1 year postpartum), new mother (up to 6 months postpartum), infant, or child under five.
Meet income guidelines, which vary based on family size and income. You can find the income guidelines on the Indiana WIC website or by calling the Indiana WIC hotline (1-888-467-9422).
Determined to be at nutritional risk by a healthcare professional. This can be your doctor, nurse, or other healthcare provider.

Choose an Application Method:

You have two options to apply for WIC in Indiana:
Online: Starting in late 2024, Indiana will offer online applications through the INWIC app. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Offline: You can visit your local WIC clinic (which is this location) or health department to submit a paper application. You can find a list of WIC clinics on the Indiana WIC website or by calling the Indiana WIC hotline.

Services:
Healthy Foods: Receive vouchers for specific nutritious foods like milk, cheese, eggs, fruits, vegetables, cereal, and juice.
Nutrition Education: Learn about healthy eating for yourself and your children, including breastfeeding support.
Healthcare Referrals: Get connected with a doctor, dentist, or other healthcare providers.

Benefits:
Improves health outcomes: Reduces low birth weight babies, improves child growth and development, increases vaccination rates, reduces iron deficiency anemia, and improves diet quality.
Saves money: Provides nutritious food at no cost.
Connects to healthcare: Helps ensure access to needed medical care.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

Has anyone ever used this service? How was it?

Service is horrible. I’m the proxy for my grandson and they fail to load his benefits for his formula and They never answer the phone.

Yes. This Clinic is my WIC clinic but I feel like they don't know how to communicate. I have been receiving multiple text messages saying not to come to the clinic but no one is calling me back for my appointment and no one is not returning my calls neither. This is not a good customer service.

Yes, my service was fantastic! Paul missed his lunch break to help me this week and was incredibly friendly and informative. He interacted with my two year old the entire time we were there as well. He was patient and very very kind.
