The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.
The Mountain Park Health Center WIC Program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education at no cost to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to 5 years of age who are found to be at nutritional risk.
WIC supplemental foods have shown to provide wide ranging benefits.
They include longer, safer pregnancies with fewer premature births and infant deaths, improved dietary outcomes for infants and children, improved maternal health and improved performance at school.
In addition to health benefits, WIC participants showed significant savings in healthcare costs when compared to non-participants.
