How to apply for WIC in Kentucky:
Contact this location for an appointment or call the Kentucky WIC program at 1-800-462-6122 for assistance.

The eligibility rules for the WIC program in Kentucky include:

1. Residency: You must be a resident of Kentucky.
2. Category: You must be one of the following:
   - Pregnant,
   - Breastfeeding,
   - Postpartum,
   - A child under 5 years old.
3. Income: Your household income must be below certain limits before taxes. These limits depend on your household size. For example, the annual income limit for a family of four is $55,500 before taxes. If your household has more than eight people, you add a specific amount per additional person.
4. Nutritional Risk: Applicants must be determined to be at nutritional risk by a health professional, which could be based on medical-based or diet-based risk conditions.

If someone in your household participates in certain other benefit programs like SNAP, Medicaid, or TANF, you automatically meet the income eligibility requirement for WIC.

For more information or to apply for WIC benefits, you can visit the Kentucky WIC website or contact the Kentucky Department for Public Health toll-free at 1-800-462-6122.

For detailed income limits and additional information, please refer to the official resources on the Benefits.gov and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services websites.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.

Attempting to reinstate errantly removed benefits for a foster child and it has not been a user friendly experience. I’m told to wait all day by my phone today for an “all day appointment” but no one is calling....
