WIC (Women, Infants, and Children):
The WIC program is a nutrition initiative in Colorado offering free nutritious groceries, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and other services to eligible families. WIC aims to support the health of pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under 5 by providing personalized nutrition consultations, breastfeeding information and support, financial assistance for healthy food, and referrals for various services such as medical care, dental care, health insurance, child care, housing, and lactation support. The program also offers nutrition and health education on topics like meal planning, maintaining a healthy weight, dealing with picky eaters, caring for a new baby, working and breastfeeding, and budget-friendly shopping.

WIC is inclusive and open to all types of families, including married and single parents, working or non-working individuals. Whether you're a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent, or legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC. The program collaborates with retailers, authorized businesses accepting WIC vouchers, farmers, healthcare providers (physicians, hospitals, nurses, dieticians, nutritionists), and local agencies authorized and funded to provide resources and training for their staff.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. This website was created for women looking for WIC information and locations. We are also working towards adding other locations and services that may help out women.
