Visiting Nurse Association Health Group's Children and Family Health Institute is the sponsor for the WIC program in Monmouth and Middlesex counties.
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) initiative provides nutrition education, nutritious foods, breastfeeding counseling and health care referrals for New Jersey women who are pregnant or post-partum, and infants and children under the age of 5.
Eligibility:
- Pregnant or nursing mother or have children under the age of five.
- Eligibility also depends on family size and income, as well as other factors including nutrition risk.
- Also provides Satellite clinics in Edison (twice per month and in Jamesburg once a month)
