Office Information:

Schenectady County Public Health Services is a local WIC clinic in New York.

They serve:

  • A pregnant woman.
  • An infant or child up to 5 years old.
  • A mother of a baby that is up to six months old or a breastfeeding mother of a baby that is no older than 12 months old.
  • Be a resident of New York State (you do not need to be a US citizen).

You must also meet specific income eligibility requirements (visit the State of NY Department of Health website at http://www.health.state.ny.us for rates) or be receiving Medicaid or Food Stamps.

Your nutritional and medical needs must be assessed by WIC health care professional to find out which benefits apply.

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC.     My daughter Destinee had wic last fall and she never re certified due to a transportation issue . Destinee lives with me and also my grandson which he is 7 months old . So I was wondering if she can re apply ?
