    Referrals to health care: WIC can refer you to other health care services, such as prenatal care, well-child checks, and immunizations.
    Breastfeeding support: WIC provides breastfeeding support and counseling to help you succeed with breastfeeding.
    Health education: WIC provides nutrition education and counseling to help you make healthy choices for yourself and your family.
    Nutritious foods: WIC provides a variety of nutritious foods, including fruits, vegetables, dairy products, grains, protein foods, and infant formula.
    WIC eWIC card: You will receive a WIC eWIC card, which is like a debit card that you can use to purchase WIC-approved foods at authorized WIC vendors.

If you are eligible for WIC in Georgia, you will receive the following benefits:
      
             Taking the online WIC Eligibility Assessment: https://dph.georgia.gov/wic-eligibility-assessment
             Applying at this office.
You can apply for WIC in Georgia by:


    Place of residence: You must live in an area served by a WIC clinic.
    Nutritional risk: You or your child must be at nutritional risk, as determined by a healthcare professional.
Additional eligibility factors:

        A father or guardian of an infant or child under five years old
        A new mother not breastfeeding up to six months after the baby's birth
        A new mother breastfeeding up to one year after the baby's birth
        A pregnant woman
    Categorical: You must be one of the following:
    Income: Your income must be at or below 185% of the federal poverty level. You can find the current income eligibility guidelines on the Georgia Department of Public Health website: https://dph.georgia.gov/WIC/income-eligibility-guidelines
    Residency: You must live in Georgia.

To be eligible for WIC in Georgia, you must meet the following criteria:



The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC.
